Recent Reads #21: Everything I've Read So Far in August

I have been reading some great books this month so I thought I would share everything I have read so far! My reading is always a little slower when I'm off work so I would have usually read more but it is still a lot by any means!Recent Reads #21: Everything I've Read So Far in AugustSo far this month I have read seven books and a few of them have gorgeous covers which I am always a sucker for. The first book I read this month was Leah Remini's Troublemaker. I started this book a year ago and finally finished it this month, I have no idea how I had forgotten about it for so long. This is a really great book and I adore Leah. This is all about her life in and out of Scientology and I'm always tweeting about the cult so I'm glad I finished this one.

The next two books I read in August I do have reviews up of which I will link. I read You Had Me at Hola by Alexis Daria and Midnight Sun by Stephenie Meyer. Both of these books were some of my most anticipated releases of the year and I loved them both. You Had Me at Hola was a fantastic rom-com (review here) and Midnight Sun (review here) is Twilight from Edward Cullen's perspective and I was a huge Twilight fan in my teens so I knew I had to read this one.

The third book I read this month was That Swoony Feeling by Meghan Quinn. Meghan is my favourite author and this book is now one of my favourites from her! This series is one I am always recommending because That Second Chance is one of my favourite books of all time. This series is set in a small town called Port Snow and each book follows a different brother. This book had me laughing so hard at times.

Then I read The Prince Next Door by Holly Rayner as I had access to it for free on my Kindle and it was fine but not really memorable if I'm being honest so I don't have much to say about it! But next up I read Permanent Record by Mary H.K Choi which I have had a copy of since the release and only just got around to reading. This is a YA book which I don't read a tonne of but I love Mary's writing style. This was quite a sad read and I would have given it five stars if the ending had been different.

The last book I read so far this month was The Trouble with Hating You by Sajni Patel. This one had such a gorgeous cover and I really enjoyed the book and read it in one sitting. This book follows Liya and Jay and it's a hate to love romance with a lot of heavier topics discussed and there is a trigger warning in the front of the book which I really appreciated.

What have you been reading this month?
